Dylan N. Brown, PE, runs the Crested Butte office for Kramer and Brown. Dylan’s professional experience began while working on diverse construction projects, ranging from building custom homes and schools to constructing chairlifts and bridges. Dylan’s hands on experience, coupled with his intensive engineering background, gives him the ability to find the most efficient solutions to complex building challenges. Dylan strives for clear and prompt communication that starts in pre-design meetings and lasts until the completion of the project.
Dylan received a BS in Civil Engineering for the University of Utah and went on to receive his Masters in Structural Engineering for the University of Utah. During Dylan’s thesis research for his Masters he designed, built, tested, and evaluated earthquake resistant bridges and post-earthquake repair techniques. This research led to the publication of 4 peer-reviewed journal articles in highly regarded journals.
Dylan lives with his wife Emily, and dog Teo, in Crested Butte. Outside of work Dylan enjoys skiing and biking with his wife and dog as well as paragliding around Crested Butte. Dylan is passionate about getting involved in the Crested Butte community and has volunteered at the community school with the high school SOAR project as well as the 5th grade earthquake engineering project.
